Many car owners will find water fog in the LED headlights of their car after rain or after washing the car. So how to deal with water fog in the LED headlights?
First of all, we must know that the LED headlights are not completely closed, because when the LED headlights are turned on, a large number of light sources (wavelength bulbs, plug gas bulbs, LED light groups, laser light groups) in series will be emitted. The gas causes thermal expansion and contraction of the air inside the headlight cover, resulting in huge air pressure. Therefore, many automotive electrical engineers will add a "breathable" rubber vent pipe or vent hole to the headlight assembly. There is a problem with excessive stress.

However, during the rainy season, heavy rain or winter, when the LED headlights are turned off, the temperature in the lamp group drops, and the moisture in the air is easily sucked into the cavity of the lamp group through the rubber vent pipe or vent hole. When the temperature inside the lamp cavity of the headlight is uneven, the temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the lamp cover is too large, and water vapor in the humid air will condense on the surface of the inner lamp cover, and it is usually concentrated in the lower half. In this case, we only need to wait for the rain to clear, and the headlight heating plus ventilation mist will naturally dissipate. No additional processing is required.

When we wash the car, we may occasionally find the headlight fogging. This is because the water gun used by the car washer pressure is too high or the time to spray the headlight is too long, there will be water vapor entering the headlight due to the pressure. It will also condense on the inner wall of the lamp cavity, causing water mist to appear on the inner wall of the lamp cavity. In the same case, other treatments are generally not needed, and we just wait for the water mist to dissipate naturally.
